The engagement of Edit Weddings‘ services by clients signifies their explicit acknowledgment and agreement to the terms delineated in this document and the particulars expressly specified within the selected editing package chosen. Client-Supplied Materials
The term “materials” herein pertains to any information and files shared with Edit Weddings for the purpose of video editing. This encompasses, without limitation, video footage, images, audio, music, , documents, and graphics.

Upon engaging the services of Edit Weddings, the client explicitly affirms the possession of legal rights to all supplied materials, having acquired requisite consents in accordance with The General Data Protection Regulation or other pertinent data protection laws.

Edit Weddings hereby disclaims any responsibility for any loss or damage to the materials submitted by the client. In instances where original material is submitted without retaining a copy, such actions are undertaken at the client’s sole risk. Clients are strongly advised to maintain backup copies of all materials provided to Edit Weddings for their own protection.

Final Edits
By engaging the services of Edit Weddings, you hereby grant explicit consent for the utilisation of completed videos for the promotional activities of our business at our discretion. This utilisation includes, but is not limited to, incorporation into both publicly accessible and restricted-access showreels. Prior to the publishing of such content to publicly accessible areas; written permission from you will be sought and obtained. Your work will never be displayed publicly, without full permission and consent.

Notwithstanding the aforementioned grant of consent, you expressly retain the unequivocal right to withdraw consent for the promotional use of your content at any given time. This withdrawal of consent shall be effective upon receipt of written notice from you. Edit Weddings is committed to respecting and promptly implementing such withdrawal requests to ensure the protection of your rights and preferences.

Payment 
The client agrees to remit full payment for the editing services provided by Edit Weddings within 30 days of project completion, in accordance with the terms mutually agreed upon when engaging our services.

  1. Payment Obligation:
    The client agrees to remit full payment for the editing services provided by Edit Weddings within 30 days of project completion and receipt of invoice, in accordance with the terms mutually agreed upon when engaging our services.
  2. Payment Method:
    All payments are to be made exclusively via bank transfer to the account details specified by Edit Weddings, with transactions conducted in GBP within the predetermined timeframe and for the exact amount stipulated in the mutual agreement prior to booking. Foreign currency payments will need to be converted to GBP at the current market rate, prior to payment being made.
  3. Pricing Terms:
    The established pricing for services rendered shall remain unaltered unless both parties explicitly consent to additional fees, for services such as, but not limited to, extra editing work or upgrading of editing packages, during the course of the service.
  4. Late Payment Fees:
    In the event that payment is not received within the stipulated 30-day period from the date of the issued invoice, Edit Weddings reserves the right to impose late payment fees. At the time of this document being created, the rates are 8% plus the Bank of England base rate, accrued daily.
  5. Legal Consequences:
    Failure to adhere to the specified payment terms may result in legal action being taken by [Your Company Name] to recover the outstanding amount, including any associated costs and legal fees incurred.

By engaging in business with Edit Weddings, the client acknowledges and agrees to these payment terms and conditions, which constitute a legally binding agreement between the parties involved.

Transfer of Copyright 
Upon receipt of the complete and timely payment for our editing services, exclusive copyright ownership for all edits pertaining to the specified project is unconditionally transferred to the client.

Until such payment is received in full, Edit Weddings retains exclusive copyright ownership for each edit, encompassing all associated intellectual property rights. This copyright is separate from the rights over the client-supplied materials.

The client agrees that unauthorised use or distribution of edits before full payment constitutes a violation of Edit Weddings’ copyright. This provision constitutes a binding agreement between the parties, emphasising the importance of fulfilling financial obligations for copyright transfer.

Cancellation Policy
In accordance with our cancellation policy, clients are afforded the right to cancel any scheduled editing service, at any time, without reason, only prior to the receipt of footage and commencement of the editing process. In the event that the editing process has commenced, a cancellation will necessitate a payment amounting to 50% of the agreed-upon fee to offset incurred costs.

The client reserves the right to communicate the cancellation of services through email or any other method of communication deemed acceptable by our terms of service. It is expressly understood that the cancellation shall take effect immediately upon the receipt of such communication by the client.

Refusal of Service 
In adherence to the operational protocols and legal framework established by Edit Weddings, the company enforces a comprehensive policy concerning the refusal of service. This policy has been formulated to ensure adherence to legal requirements, ethical considerations, and the overall safeguarding of the company’s interests.

  • Grounds for Refusal:
